Not all big fish go deep,all the big fish i've caught lately has came from 2'-4' of water on flats up a major tributary on my lake they have been around any wood they can find and the bite has gotten better as the sun got high and put them on cover,the key to a bite like that is finding stained to slightly muddy water.
