Lake Barnett is a VERY HARD lake to fish. My step dad and mom live on that lake right above the dam. Now if your going to fish with minnows. Make sure you stop at the bait shop in front of mosses country store and tell the old man that you want the pink minnows. I don’t know why but they like the little pink ones the best on that lake. Before my step dad got his job with an oil company. We fished it a lot and I would buy the bigger size minnows and he would buy those little pink ones and show me up. We have heard from a lot of people to fish around the bluffs and we have caught some fair mess of fish there. There a shallow cove right there around the bluffs it’s on the opposite side of the bluffs. We watch an older women and her husband tear them up in there. The poor man couldn’t even fish. He would take a crappie off and bait her hook. She would swing it into the water and pull it right back in with what looked like dang nice size crappie. As far as pulling cranks up by the dam I have plans to try that but for some reason the last few weeks life as being so crazy I haven’t even seen the water. But when I make it out there I will let you now how will it worked out. Speaking of the dam looking out my mom back windows there almost always a boat fishing around the big concrete thing(not sure what the real name for it is)that feed the creek behind the dam.. My step dad also use glow in the dark jigs with good luck. I hope some of this helps you. Good luck mrlivesoutdoors
