He's around here some where. I think he's got some fish hemmed up and is not letting anyone know about it. He posted 8-28 in the taking care of your glass boat forum....or some forum like that.

The older I get the less I have to say about anything that way I cann't T anybody off.
Still fishing in olduckhunters neck of the woods and for snakes I've seen less this year then I seen in years.Cann't understamd why b/c I fish in snakely places, alot of days I never see a snake or maybe just one.
Hill slough is dangerous low,the rice farmer has pumped in down, its a wonder the fish aren't dieing its so low.I've never seen it that low before, you can see fish stirring up mud in front of you.
Anyway I haven't set up a email account with my new server, have plenty of pictures of drum, bowfin and gar, lol.
Caught a 4 1/2 lb smallmouth bass and a 5 lber last week,in swift water they were meaner then a 20lb bowfin.
Haven't done to will in black river this year, right now the river looks good.Caught good slabs out of spring river.Strawberry river is producing some good ky's and smallmouths.
The hardest part in fishing these days is trying to figure out where I want to fish, river, lakes, sloughs or a mudhole.Wanting to fish old river off cash river sunday, wanting to spring river sunday wanting to fish black river sunday. When I pull out of the driveway in the morning and go by the ice house its know telling where I'm be going..but its always I should have went somewhere else.
Had a real close friend pass away,he came by everyday for years, one day he is a laughing and joking and the next day dead.It was and is still hard to see him go,lossing a best friend is heart breaking.

I know that is right Turtle.. I lost mine last October and there is not a day that goes by that I don't think about him. It is hard and I'm still not over it but at lease we know they are in a better place.. Sad to hear about your loss..

good to see a post from a again turtlebait. i fish on black river above current river and its still running mighty muddy. all the rice farmers are draining fields and keepin her stirred up a bit. o when thats over its gonna be on! i need some fillets in the deep freeze.... its amazing to me but once your down stream of current river mouth shes as pretty a river right now as you will see. Where do you normally fish the black river turtlebait sounds like down below black rock?

I fish it up around Knobel,I hope this winter its as clear as it was last winter.Nov.,Dec.,Jan.,Feb. last year was outstanding for as clear and pretty fish, the kys were the prettest I even seen.Throw a lure up on thin ice drag it off and the fight was on.I said last year I was going to fish black alot this year but have only fished it twice sents the flood.Took it for ever to go down and sorta clear up,I did not find the fish I was looking for last week.Caught several dinks and a few small kys, sure fooled me.
Hadn't fished the mouth of current in years but know what you mean as in pretty water down stream.Used to pull crank baits up black though the mouth of current for walleye.A log between current and black has about as many of my cranks as my tackle box.
