I was skeptical that they'd work in such a stump filled lake but the half dozen I placed about a month ago are already becoming productive.

Lazyj, I really like the looks of those structures, I may try that style of structure next time, all I was doing with my structure was building a reef line in a one shot structure. Those that you are making have been productive you say, well after the one I sunk, easier seem alot better, and your structures seem to me to be alot easier to make and transprt and sink to the bottom of the lake for sure.

I did a base over the weekend that I think is going to work well. I lined a shallow tote box with plastic, mixed and poured 3" of concrete in it. Already had 10 12" pieces of 1/2" sch 40 cut, drilled and wire run through to anchor. Set the pipe pieces in place and let it dry 48 hours. The base is 20.5 x 14.5 x 3 and weighs about 45 pounds. When I get where I am going to put it, I will glue on my T's and 5' sections and plan to zip tie some river cane to the sections and also zip tie a pair of pantyhose full of dry dog food to it. That should help it until it gets algae covered.

About $15 per is the cost if using full 10' sections. A little less for this first one.

The one being deployed this weekend will be about 6' tall but is going in a spot that has a normal pool of about 12-15'. For deeper spots I will just use the full 10' section of pipe and the structure will be about 11' total.

This is the time of year that I like to put out my structure, then it will be ready for my fall crappie endevors, between deer hunting trips. My experiances has proven to me that the fish really like the structure better after it gets slick with algae and slime
