Anybody been catching any bream? Was thinking that they should be moving up to the beds this weekend, with the full moon next weekend.

We aren't catching our Slab bluegills yet here around Marked Tree / Payneway ponds either. Finally today one of my fishing buddies little brother caught a 7lb bass in one of the creeks that had its lower tail almost gone so the bass around here are finally spawning or setting up beds which means the bream will coming along soon too.
Another late spawn like last year. The water just didn't warm up yet.
Caught several nice ones at Clear lkae near England last week.

Me and Lil'J here went to Conway this morning and had our limits barely after it got good and daylight and kept throwing back until we used up our crickets, then caught another dozen or so on bare nekkid hooks. Mostly males so by next weekend it should be some really crazy fishing. I just wish they had some size to them. We got into the big'uns at Maumelle last year so we're headed over there as soon as my pole-jerkin' muscles are rested up!!

wearing them out on our little black river slough.! Wow . Took the kids Sunday after church and brought home 91. Went this morning and added another 26 but we ran out of crickets. Thank God, because, I'm tired of cleaning the things.:D
Just curious about Maumelle. I have bass fished it several times, but don't really know where to begin bream fishing there. I am not asking you to give me your spots, just some general info on how deep and stuff. I know that lakes that are usually that clear that you don't usually fish too shallow. Any help would be great. Wanting to take my boys to Maumelle soon. Thanks.
Last year my bream holes were all little isolated patches of 10-20 lily pads in 10-12 ft of water in the back of coves. Anchor and cast in cause they spook easily. I hope its the same this year cause I'm loaded up and headed to Maumelle in the morning. Paronite, does this sound like the ticket?
Ya'll lucky dogs been tearing up the bream and I've just been thinking about tearing them up. I luv me some bole bending, run around in circles, big bream. If they got to be 5 or 6 lbs a guy would need deep sea tackle to fish for them.:D
