Morgan Point
wife and i went to morgan point caught lots of white bass , small catfish and a few bream but no crappie water was a little high but had a good time.on the way to the ramp saw a game warden standing there didnt think nothing of it, he watched us load the boat and as i was tying it down he asked me why i didnt have the kill switch lanyard attached to my clothing.my response was i didnt even think about the kill switch, then he asked if i knew it was arkansas law to wear the lanyard while the motor was running,i said no i thought it was only a recomindation.well ,he showed me in the regulations and heres what it says.Kill Switch
For motorboats equipped by the manufacturer
with a lanyard-type engine cutoff switch, the
boat operator is required to attach the lanyard to
his person, clothing or personal floatation device
while the engine is in use.i said well i guess i know now he wrote me a warning because he said i didnt argue with him, well if you dont know theres nothing to argue about.by the way warden says fine is $240.00 thats alot of fish to pay for,so recon i'll be wearing it from now on
