I wasn't that smart!!
I thought I had waited it out Saturday morning. The radar looked like it had passed by 8AM. I hitched up and took off from my house in W little Rock. The Mrs decided she was going too (so much for eating a bag of Kettle Chips on this trip).
By the time I got on the water, it was drizzeling a little. Then the bottom fell out. Called the son to look at radar and he said it was about to pass over. Found some shelter and ate lunch while it passed; then got back out there. I didn't count on the wind after the rain. It was scary. I found some coves to fish in and kept getting hung up. I anchored so I could retie one time and lost my anchor. I don't know what it was hung on, but, I finally had to cut the rope. The ride back to the landing was like being on the North Atlantic. The swells were at least 4 feet high.
Over all it was the trip to Hades to try and catch some fish. But, I managed to put six in the freezer.
The highlight of the trip was the buffet at Benton's (Bently's??) in Greer's Ferry. I tried to get my wife a job there. But, I don't think anyone took me serious.
