    Default Greers is heating up

Got a limit Saturday and Sunday at Greers pulling jigs tipped with minners. Nothing real big but still fun.

    Default Good News

Good to hear from you CS....and to hear things are beginning to pick up. I hope that within another week I will be able to get out for a trip. The shoulder is improving everyday but still healing. I sure didn't get the timing right for this one. Keep the info comming. bm.
If the good Lord is willing and the creeks dont rise I'll catch a slab today.

I didn't do much good on Greers on Friday, but I got a good report from a friend who went on Saturday. I had to turkey hunt.

Did OK on Greers on Friday, 0700 - Dark. Morning and evening was best. From 1000 to about 1600 was DEAD. DEAD. DEAD. Ended with 14 crappies, 3 of witch were slabs, and 3 hybrids 1.5 - 2 lbs.

Lots of boats on the lake around Choctaw area. Almost everyone was fishing close to the shore, literally 2 -3' from the water edge. The only thing I saw them catch were little dinky crappies.

I spider rigged mostly with minnows and jigs. Gigs (1/16) did better than minnows. Hot color was pumpkin - chart.

Thanks for the report Wayne, heading there tomorrow, but I'm meeting my son over there and he doesn't have the patience for crappie like I do. So we will be doing the bass thing. Glad you are getting some limits.

Way to go CS...I was up there a week ago and caught 25 but they ran pretty small for the most part. The little males were just getting on the banks.
