Default Need a shallow water crappie fix

I can't complain in the least because the crappie have been real good to me this spring ---- on staging beds that is. The water temp is now breaking above 60 and I am checking the shallows and coming up zero. The only thing I can figure is they are so anxious to spawn they're not interested in a jig or minnow, but the ones off the bank are. Here's what we harvested today:

Good catch, especially with all the wind. I might check the banks here tomarrow if the wind is'nt as bad as forecasted. Spent to today fixing up my old boat. Next week should be awsome. Keep posting those pictures.:D

If you only got to make whoopie once a year would you stop to eat while you were in bed for the big event?:D

Still didn't happen in the shallows but the kids tore them up 8-12'.

Just back home from Greeson. Spent a week over there and caught alot of fish. All small from the deeper tops however, caught several 2 lb + in the shallows on jig pole. Some real nice slabs.
