What about bays off the black river: Robinson, Horner, Portia, Shirey, Sunshine, Straight Lake, Clear Lake etc.

What about borrow pits off the St. Francis?

I was surprised with an early bday gift by the wife. She bought me a plane ticket to fly to AR and fish with my dad for 3 days. I am so excited! We are going to try to stay close to Jonesboro so I can see other family at night.

I really home some of the black river bays pick up; those are about the only good places we know of. Dad's boat is dinky and we aren't set up to fish any lakes really. Visible structure is the best we can do and those bays are full of it.

The MSRiver will be in all the oxbows now. Midway and Whitehall are full of the river.

our trip is April 12-14th. I really hope you guys don't get much rain there between now and then. I don't want all our river oxbows and pits to be full, flowing, and muddy. If they are, we will have to fish Hogue, Poinsett, or drive further to Old Town I guess.

what do you think the oxbows like portia bay will be like after this rain? Going fishin sat just dont know if I need to go there or try to head to horseshoe or poinsett or somewhere else.

    Default High Water

With the St. Francis at 21+' (st francis) and Black at 10+' (corning) I wish you luck in finding clear water in the pits or bays
