I have tried it both ways too. I had a prob with the sinker in the middle, when I drop my bait to the bottom the sinker would go down faster and my lower jig would tangle up. I had to let it down slower. Then I used a 1/2 oz bell sinker on the bottom and two jigs 12 " apart above it. When I hang up I lost 2 jigs and a sinker and takes a while to rerig with cold hands and bad eyes. Just tonight I redid everything. I loaded the reels with 12lb braided, tied a bell sinker on the end and then 18" of 6lb leader with one jig on the end. On one rig i am using straight braided with 1/2 oz sinker 18" above the jig. I am going with one jig cuz I rarely catch any on the top jig anyway. I am trying to come down to the best way for me.
