Thanks Creekslick. I imagine that'd be pretty effective but I think it's illegal over here.
Yoyoers cleaned out everything but the dinks on my favorite crappie lake several years ago. Just 2 guys caught and kept over 500 crappie on just one weekend, and there were a lot more folks yoyoing than those 2. The landowner locked it up as a result and after his daughter and her husband went down there to fish and couldn't because there were one or more yoyos on every single limb on a 100 acre lake and beer cans and coke cans floating from one end of the lake to the other. Within 2 or 3 years it was good again, but I sure saw the crappie take a hit. I know these guys were abusing the law, not to mention fishing ethics, but I have to admit I've had a sour taste in my mouth about yoyos ever since.
I bought two dozen today that I plan to use this weekend. I will be following the rules and I don't realy care if anyone likes it or not. As long as it is legal and I obey the law noone has a right to say anything about it and don't let me catch someone messing with my yo-yo's or my noodles.
I am a big fan of yo yos and noodles. I love em spring and summer for cats. I have caught quite a few crappie on them too. I see nothing wrong with using them as long as you abide by the regulations set by the agfc.
