    Default Thieves

My sister and brother-n-law left for work this morning. They had an 1982 chevrolet with a little lift on it and a 3-4 yr old 700 yamaha grizzly 4-wheeler n the back of the truck. When they got home the truck and 4 wheeler were gone. This is not their primary vehicle, my BIL works and plays with vehicles all the time and he had been working on this truck and had it sold to a guy. The four wheeler is also a passion of his, he had ALOT of money invested in it, a lift, custom wheels and tires, brush guard, fender flares, etc. We know that they are probably long gone.

I have no use for thieves. Both my BIL and my sis work and it aint right for this to happen to them, or anyone else. It makes me fighting mad. Are judicial system is not near strict enough, to much of this kind of stuff happens all the time.

I am sure I am in the minority and I am very well aware this isn't the middle east. However, if a thief is caught stealing, he/she should be missing one hand from that point forward. If said he/she is caught again, he/she will hopefully have a good friend to wipe for them...

I bet good money that thieves would find another hobby...

Same Here! My truck got broke into 1 week before christmas and they stole my 270 ruger that i had for 15 years. My dad gave it to me. I was fighting mad!! If he would have knocked on the door i would have gave him some money. I will never see it again. The cop (LITTLE ROCK POLICE) took 45 minutes to show up and he never got out of the car!!

Thieves makes me madder than hell, I've been there. The answer may be in a quote that Judge Parker (the hanging judge of Fort Smith) once said--and if he didn't say it, he should have. "Its not the severity of punishment that deters crime, its the certainty of punishment that deters crime". In todays world there is no certainty of punishment.

Thieves should be dealt swift "rural" punishment!:p I hope your family's stuff shows up. I'd atleast put out the work to the sherriff's offices in the surrounding counties, but I probably wouldnt have big hopes.:o
