I motored over one last summer and it climbed up the outboard and nestled up under the cowling. I had to get my boat hook and push him over. No free rides... Fish or cut bait, but no free rides.

I thought I had posted some pictures of it, but I can't seem to find the post.

That could be in Opp Alabanana, they have a rattle snake round up and fry there every year.

A snake is you best friend.. some folks are just too ignorant to realize it!

Try to guess how many rats and mice there'd be without snakes!

    Uhh.......no.

Bit of an overstatement there. I don't care how many rats/mice they eat I'll never embrace them.

If I see them in the woods or on the water, I leave them alone. But if they show up around the house, they're getting their head chopped. I can put up mice traps and buy a cat if I have a rodent problem....I do NOT want snakes under my house.

If you don't mind breaking the law and killing snakes, then ya'll don't mind if I break the law and keep below the length limit crappie right?

The snake laws are there for a reason, if ya'll don't understand conservationism and how ecosystem's work at least understand that other people do and that's why its against the law to kill a snake unless its an immediate threat to you.

Statisitcs show you are far more likely to die from hitting a deer with your car, deer cause far more damage, DEER are to be feared far more than snakes ......... so should we kill every deer we see? "any dead deer is a good deer" right?

C'mon, I'm not a big snake lover but I understand why God put them here, and I'm not going to be one to follow wives tales and be scared when there is nothing to be scared of and I'm not going to kill something when there is really no reason too.

You let the snakes play in your yard and I will let the deer play in mine.

    Slealthycat,

I think all snakes are a immediate threat to me! That's the reason I make

    good snakes out of them.

    Exactly lol.

Like I said, I won't kill one if I see it in the wild or even in the woods around my house. But if I see it near the house, it's getting taken care of. Like I said, I'll get a cat or some mouse traps if I'm worried about rodents.
