That's right, Bill!! It is fun fishing for them even if they aren't biting...just adds to the challenge. Makes us appreciate those good days even more. I caught these in 42-45 FOW fishing 5-8 ft off the bottom using chart/red BG's. Seems like I caught the bigger ones when I upped the speed a little. I tried the deeper water but mostly small ones there so far.
BTW GRIZZ, having too many crappie lakes around here sorta makes up for some of the things we Don't have.... With the unemployment rate the way it is around here in the Delta some of these folks have to hunt and fish just to put food on the table! We better catch all the Crappie we can in these river lakes before the snakeheads take over!
