Thread: The Pool

Went to the Pool on Lake Conway today. I didn't catch any but I saw a bunch being caught.

Only thing is it was a bunch of sea gulls (must have been at least 1000 or more of em out there) feasting on schooling shad. The flats had a bunch too. Maybe they will thin them out some and the crappie will get hungry again. :D

I think I would have motored up in the middle of them to see what type jig they were useing lol.

Three weeks ago, I was seeing perhaps 7 gulls total. I guess all that shad popping the surface has attract a few and they posted on Shad.com or something. Too bad they don't buy their minners at Don's place. With 1000's of them there, he's be fresh out for a few weeks. LOL

I thought about it but it reminded me too much of an old Alfred Hitchcock movie, Ya know, the one about The Birds. I didn't want to rile 'em up so I quietly left. :D
