yes it can get in, river shows to be 28ft. at st.charles,if i'm not mistaken normal levels should be around 19 or less the roads may even be under water.last year when it was up the men working the lock at wild goose had to use boats to get from the lock to the levee.you might call wild goose grocery and ask.but yes the river can get in it.october and november used to be good but i havent been in several years just too far to drive for me unless camping out.
