Well, you are if you're just asking her the standard question... "Have you accepted...."

I don't have enough rods yet to spider rig, so I'm just sorta 'front trolling minners'.
Quit complaining about the color, just pull up your skirt and fish! -- snagged

That's the beauty of it...it doesn't take a whole lot of expensive gear. Get you the cheapest poles and reels you can find...and catch fish all year long. Find you a channel ledge and depending on the average depth of water...usually fish 8-20' deep. Watch your depth finder and stagger the depth of your poles until you find the zone. Good Luck! It's a lot of fun and very productive when you figure it out...

Yep! Maybe not deeper though. Follow the water temps and pay attention to that sonar. You'll find 'em. Just gotta look hard sometimes but they're there.

I think it's just another good way to catch alot of fish. Long lining also produces alot of fish, as well as night fishing over lights. You just have to pick your poison, set your rig up adequately, and learn & perfect your skills. I started spider rigging this past spring and am totally enjoying pulling slabs in the boat on long poles.:p

I certainly dont know everything there is to learn, but one thing that you need to keep in mind, is the speed of presentation. Some days they like it real slow and others it just doesn't seem to matter. For sure the colder the water gets, the slower the fish will react (my opinion). With SR you can vary your movement and speed to meet their desires. One other secret I have learned, is use large minnows (if you fish with minnows). The smaller the minnows the more dinks you will catch. A good eating size Crappie will not shy away from a large minnow, and I find that you will catch more and larger Crappie on large minnows. Just put a bait out there where they are at and do not get in a hurry. Take your time and try different baits and different depths until you find what they are looking for. Keep moving even if it is at a snails pace. Good Luck....BM
If the good Lord is willing and the creeks dont rise I'll catch a slab today.

Let the wind push and use a chain to control the speed. A bucket or sock will work also. Lot of layers, Gore Tex and neoprene gloves is all the reason you need not to quit.
