    Default Greers 10-10

Went out for a couple of hours this afternoon and picked up 6 keepers. The water is pretty stained after all the rain. May try them again in the morning, I tied a bunch of horse head jigs this week so I may spider-rig. Caught the ones today on bandit 300's.

Thanks Creekslick, i think when the weather gets stable, and they get ust to all this new found cold rain the bite will pick up again. Are you catching any spider rigging at all? What kind and color skirts do you like on those horseheads?

    Creekslick,
Greers is similar to Greason in many ways. Just wondering what kind of water you drag them bandits through, do you drag them past known cover, across points. I have bought a few bandits and would like to try it. I saved the chart that tells how much line out /how deep the 100,200,300 series run.Thanks.

I tied several combinations of black, pink, white, red, blue, and chartreuse. I will try them all tomorrow so I will let you know.

Nice going, I need to get back fishing closer to home again. Been pulling my boat all over the place while your catching them over there. Let us know how the spider rigging works.

I pull them through known cover. I get hung alot so I use braided line and have a plug knocker but I still lose some baits. I figure if I can go on a trip and lose only 1 bait that's about the same as buying a couple dozen minnows.

Losing 1 crankbait is not bad, the last time I pulled crankbaits I lost 4 new bandits.

Went to the sugar camp area of greers this morning by myself. Tried trolling rapalas because that is all I have and I do not think they went deep enough. I caught two little bass and lost two more at the boat. I seen one flat bottom other than my own, they were jigging and I seen them put a couple of fish in their boat but couldn't tell what they were and I did not want to get to close or bother them. Other than that there were a bunch of bass fishermen running around. I enjoyed being out by myself but did not catch any crappie, I keep meaning to buy some bandits but have not done it yet.
nothing beats time on the water
