    Thumbs up Greers

The water level is up about 3' and the temp. is down to about 74-75. The fish seem to like it.:D Caught a limit of 20 fish mostly 10" long Saturday afternoon. Went back this morning and got another limit and they were a little better fish. Fished Devil's Fork and Middle Fork. The wife and I are trying to buy a place at Greers but it looks like I am going to have to learn to fish the West side of the lake because our place is at Sugar Loaf Park.

Thx for letting me know were I could get some lures. Me and my Uncle were fishing up Middle Fork labor day weekend (I guess he is tutoring me) and we ran into a guy who lived north east of the lake, but I forget were he was from, and his name. He was running trotlines and we talked to him for a while, he said he had a place around sugarloaf, he was a real nice guy, gave us some of his bait. Then we had motor problems and he gave us a tow, Was that you? Anyway I have heard of people catching crappie around south fork, there is some brush west of the marina, or thats what I have been told, but I have not made it to that end of the lake yet.
nothing beats time on the water

Sugarloaf would be a great place to have as a home base/launch point. I have started driving there from Heber and boating to Choctaw anytime I want to fish the western side of the lake. Good fishing over there.

Good job on the catch CS....I was all set up to go today but my sons wife called last night and needs me to take him to Dr. this am. I think he has this flu that is going around. He has a lot of problems with upper respertory infections so dont want to take a chance. Anyway, you could do a lot worse than Sugar Loaf. You are really not that far from Middle or South Fork and there definately is some good trolling close to the big island. Enjoy your catch and go back as soon as you can...Also I dont believe this deal about you not being a nice guy.
If the good Lord is willing and the creeks dont rise I'll catch a slab today.

Talked to friend that I was supposed to fish with today and he limited out in about an hour and a half. He said three were 2#+ and the rest in the 12" range. He also fished up middle fork. We plan on trying to go again either thursday or Friday (maby both). May try to go around choctaw and southfork this time. This 3' rise should help along with the drop in temp. Have a good one...bm
