    Default Went jiggin with a weekender from LR


    I fished with a weekender, that's one of those that has a trailer or cabin by the lake. Took his boat and I ran the trolling motor. Tried teaching him how to jig fish. I caught a good mess of Crappie but only 2 slabs. The water keeps cooling off and we should have early fall fishing up at Nimrod. Fish seem to be in 5 to 8' of water down close to the bottom .

    What is the water temp. in that part of Ark.?

    Surface temps are low 80's . Not bad for August.
