good fishin bill...there's no way a workin' man like me can keep up with you...lol...but i'm gonna try from time to time.

the word on paradise is lots of mud at the ramp now....very difficult to launch without wading in it up to your knees....a little too risky for me....with no 4x4

Kate Adams Game & Fish managed lake is just across the levee from Arkansas City. Small lake but pretty!

He said paradise usually wasn't good unless the miss. river was over 18ft @ ar. city. he also said if the water was coming in, you need to go to the back of the lake, and if it's falling out, fish close to the ditch draining out of it. I've only been once, & it wasn't productive, but the water wasn't right @ ar. city.

I must confess that i did sell the crappie rig, & bought a 93 Javelin w/ a 200 hp evinrude. it's been a project boat. I finally got funds to do a lot of work to it, replace carpet, new bucket seats, & came across a deal getting clear coat on the top cap 'cause it was eaten down to the metal flake. I'll post some pics soon. I wanted something to take on bigger waters like greers, degray & ouachita. I have been able to crappie fish out of it also, but it's a big battleship, & harder to navigate through cypress trees. I can also bass fish out of it, and also take the kids tubing too. still have a lot of work to do on it, but I think i made the right move.
Hey Randy...You won't regret that heavy rig even in smaller lakes when the wind gets up and you are trying to troll without bouncing all over the place! There's lots of us that chase crappie from a "bass rig" cause they don't make a "crappie rig" that's big and stable enough to handle rough/big water and a "toon" is too hard to get in to small lakes. The higher speed is just icing on the cake. That 200 will love that gas!

Yeah, I would have made the same move as well. Good to see you at the crawfish boil. You run with a pretty tough crowd...
