Thanks for sharing the beautiful photography. I like fishing anytime, but early morn, just before daybreak is my favorite. I might catch a decent fish and will probably be witness to His magisty once more with the greeting of a blazing sunrise.

I felt like I was right there with you.

Great Pics! We truely are blessed up here on Greers, Wed. morning was beautiful at sunrise with the full Moon starting to set and the big orange sun rising on the other side, makes you realize how really insignificant we all really are in the scheme of things. The two guys I had out with me could not get over how quiet it was on the water that morning, not even a bird singing a song for a little while, the only noise we had was drag slipping and fish hitting the bottom of the boat

Great post. One of the things I try to do as well is encourage people to sit back and look, listen and appreciate these amazing places we fish. The older I get (I'm not old and never will be, but I do get older) the more the appreciation of the beauty of God's creation means to me and the more I appreciate it. Hey CP, any chance of me getting full sized copies of those last 2 shots?

One of the days I spent in Ark this spring with Darryl we just scouted and didn't work too hard to catch fish. We just had a great day on the water and I had the chance to soak in the lake (not literally) and its beauty and get to know Darryl better. I had a great day even though we didn't get much. Can't wait to go back there and do it again. I was in a little bit of a fog though from the 80 degree temperature change from NY to Ark in March this year. I look forward to spending more time there when my body is more in equilibrium. Just about the time I started acclimating to the change I had to go back north. Maybe 2 or 3 weeks next time, or months!!
Good things come to those who bait.

Yeah, its tough for me to get away when those pigs are in the shallows here, though I must say I don't get as many of those as I used to. We had about a 10 year run when we got a lot of them, but its slower now. I still get a few 9's every year and once in a while a 10. Just not in the hundreds like we did in those awesome seasons. The winters are when I need to come down there and get away from the snow up to my chin. This winter its Ark or somewhere on the gulf. Not sure yet.
