Crappie bite twice a day. 15 minutes before I get there and 10 minutes after I leave.
The sheep live in fear of the wolf but in the end it's the shepherd that eats them.
The two loudest sounds are a gun that goes click when it is supposed to go bang and

I had the same problem at Tunica today! Your cooler looks a lot like mine--some great fish! Got there about 7:15, left at 12:15. Could have stayed longer and caught more, but no place to put 'em! That's a heckuva problem to have! Caught 30 by myself yesterday, but had to work to find 'em. Today we fished one stretch only about 150 yards long. Looks like the river is gonna go down too low for another trip anytime soon for me, so maybe some of you others can go down there the next couple of days and catch a mess. The wife and I are going to Orlando Friday and staying for a week. Gotta rest from all that crappie action!! Hey GS, did you put in at BattleAx and go across the Mississippi? That's the route I take.

8-9 feet deep on black/chartreuse jig on a 1/32 ounce jig with a white crappie nibble fished in pockets between younger willows. drop it down and let it soak for 10 seconds or so.no jigging action just hold and feel. find one, you find a few. caught mine along a 150 yard stretch too. went down it a couple of times.

may be too late for the cut-off but mellwood looks to be right next along with scrubgrass off the Big Muddy.
