    Default Lake Turnover

I called the marina yesterday to check the water temp and was told the west end of the lake had already turned over. I find that hard to believe as the water temps are still in the 80s. I have never wet a line in the fall as I am usually hunting but plan to do some fishing this fall since you guys just swear by it. I would like to hear from some of you guys in Arkansas to see if the lakes have turned yet for yall and if so how long after one turns do you wait till you go fishing?

Some of the big deep lakes never turn over or it is rare when they do. Bull Shoals did last year maybe it was the year before.
JT does Beaver Lake turn off? In the fall?

Local tv station reports Beaver is turning over as drinking water in NWA has a distinct bad taste - especially noticeable this year due to heat and extremely low lake level.

I fish mostly the western portion of the lake and I do believe that the turn is over. I am catching a lot of nice crappie, walleye and cats off the bottom now.
October and November are probably my 2 favorite months of the year for crappie. You can get them cornered up all in one spot and catch dozens of them and there is no pressure like the spring!
