i just started using them myself so i can't tell you about the shelf life plus fish don't seem to stick around very long in my freezer any way...lol...what i like is how they thaw so much faster...you do have to get most of the water off the fish before bagging them or the pump won't work right

If you freeze them for long periods of time, they'll keep better (don't seem to be as tough). Also, they vacuum in the bags fairly drained of water so they don't absorb near as much water as when they're frozen in it. If you deep fry, the drier filets cook crisper and quicker. If you use them in the first few months, it's hard for me to tell the difference as far as taste and texture but they cook different. I prefer vacuum (as you cal tell) cause I never know how long they'll be kept before use by me or others.

Hey Mike...was that your "Built Right" trailer at the landing? If so, that's a fine looking trailer (and boat).

Yea, that was mine. I added the electric winch---sure makes loading easier. Moved my RV to Mellwood, may try to get back to Washington in the fall. Enjoyed meeting you.
