ohhhh ggaaaarrrssshh, guys.
General or no general, I went out today on Ouachita and it was pii-dee-fullllll. Just plum pii-dee-full. Had it not been for a nearly four-pound pike and two hefty bream jumpin' on my white/chartreuse RR crappie thunder, I woulda been SKUNKED fer sur. Makes me appreciate the good days, donchaknow. (CP, the lake is still 6' high but tolerable now since Little Fir, 27 Bridge and Twin Creeks are all now reopened.)
I think I'm headin' to the north bank of Degray later in the week. Maybe I can catch a crappie there. lol
You all are just too kind. I REALLY enjoy this forum and have learned so much. I probably would have enjoyed it more if I'd made rank on "the payroll," DP. I jus' retired a little too late for that.
Thanks for the come-backs. Blessings to you and yours and happy fishin'.

Congrats AJ! Enjoyed all of your posts. You are so correct on the info you can learn out here.
Congrats Arkie John, and good luck if you do try Degray.

AgriHawg,
Thought about it and got a report from my next-door neighbor and was told it's still too high for good fishin'. I can have not-so-good fishin' on Ouachita. lol
Thanks for the kindness. Tell Scrapper I said "hello."

I haven't been to the lake yet, but it's at an elevation of 406, which is not high. It would actually be normal for this time of year, and then closer to 402 for the fall/winter. I'll let you know how we do, going fishing this Friday.
