    Default The Garage Sale

I think I have said enough on this board to let every one know I am trying to change my habits back to where they were just a few years ago. I spent too much to get my wife of 6 years so, Lord knows what it would cost to get rid of her. So, after almost 20 years of being "my own boss" I am trying to learn how I am supposed to act; now that I ain't. Women just ain't the same as they were 20 years ago.
I just keep getting my self into trouble.....
The wife had her annual garage sale this weekend, which meant all of my stuff had to be gone. This ussually ensures me a fishing trip so I will be out of the way. To make this story shorter, I will jump to me helping her to get all of the stuff ready. It is Friday night and I have already moved all of my stuff out of the garage, and I am helping her "price" the items. My job was to hold the tape dispensor and make sure the peices of tape were axactly 3/4'' long for her to place the price tags on the items. Along about 2AM Saturday morning, we were pricing shoes the grandkids have out grown. I couldn't tell the difference between a 25 cent pair and a 15 cent pair. By this time of the morning (I was concerned because birds were already chirping) my mind was numb. But, I counted all of the shoes that were laid out. They didn't add up to $3. I handed her $6 and said we can simply throw them away now. And, just like that I was told I was no help and was sent to bed for being cranky.
I got up at 5AM and pulled my boat to work (out of her way) and listened to what a !@#$%^ I am for making everyone work on Saturday. You can't be me and be a sissy.

The deal I have with my wife is if she has a garage sale....Leave my stuff alone and I get to go fishing while it's going on....sorry it didn't work out that way for you....sounds like your learning that no good deed goes unpunished!....just kidding...hopefully you'll get to put that boat in the water soon.

That right there is funny, I don't care who you are. It could get you hurt for saying it, but still funny:D

At least yours has a backbone and putting forht the energy to do it. Mine would just stay in bed, sleep till noon every day and let the stuff pile up to the ceiling. What a mess. And folks wonder why I live half a state away, go figure.
