    Default Spring is almost here...

Well, I can't help but notice that spring is almost here.

I just thought I would go ahead and reintroduce myself to the off-topic crowd because I'm sure that once I start crappie fishing again, I'll probably have more off-topic stuff to talk about than on-topic.

When you're not catching fish, you gotta do something to keep things interesting!

    Howdy guys... I'm back!

    Been hunting, among other things.

We had a good year... Until my deep freeze died!

Lord, help! We lost a mess of crappie and deer.

Had that Happen a few years ago. Lost 2 deer,1 wild turkey, and a lot of fish. It took a while to stock back up.

There's enough of us up here now to have our own camp. I'm thinking everyone meet at Craighead with their boats and catch every fish in it. We should be able to do that in a half day iffn we can get enough participation. All who need a freezer stocked get to pick out their fish first.

Hey Tony. Our ole buddy Buckrub asked me where you'd been. I told him you was killin stuff. He thought you were the only sane person among us.

Been hearing the same thing. Personally, I've only caught normal size slabs out of there (8").

I've heard that too. But all I've every caught were small bass. I've never seen a crappie out of Craighead.

I fished it for crappie once with my Father-in-Law. We caught a mess of them but there wasn't any size to them at all. That was probably 6-8 years ago.

I could be to Craighead in less than 10 minutes. Sure would be nice if it was full of crappie.
