Great pics. We see them around here at Reelfoot and Big Sandy. I wish we saw them more often - still takes my breath away.

Kent - Years ago the eagles at Reelfoot changed there diet from crappie to ducks and you dont see as many there as you used to. The pictures are from The St.Francis River and Cache River systems. There is a nest in Cash that has to be 15' wide. I gave AGFC the GPS cordinates and now you cant get 5 miles from it. I guess thats good for the eagle but bad for me. Bayou DeView has the most I have ever seen at one time.

The pics are awesome. I have seen a few. Oddest thing that happened to me was in the mid 90's and I was working in the housing project in Trumann. I looked up and there was a big bald eagle just soaring around right at the tops of the trees which weren't very tall. I called the local warden to report seeing it and he asked me where and I said "in the housing project over here on Redwood street" and he hung up on me

I needed to tell someone else so I called one of my co-workers to come over. Before he arrived, the eagle had flown off. He said I was an idiot and no way did I see an eagle, but it showed back up. We jumped in his truck and followed it all around that said of town. It finally got to hollering and when it did, another eagle showed up, but it came from way high up. When they got together, they went on south.

A couple years ago another pair showed up in the same area, and spent a week or more in the tree line just north of the sewer ponds.

I had 3 light in a big cypress tree right above me while duck hunting this year.......They got to hooting and hollering at each other and I was amazed.....I had no idea they could make that much commotion.....finally had to run them off so the ducks would come in again.....I've also watched them stand on the ice with a duck......it's pretty neat to see how fast they can pick a ducks breast and eat it.....cool pics Thanks

I saw one the other day after a duck hunt in the middle of a winter wheat field. I thought it was a trash bag from far off, and then as I got closer I noticed it had a white head. Its amazing how big they look flyng, but you should really see how big they are when on the ground... HUGE

I guess it found a cripple duck and decided to have a snack.

Got to see a young eagle take a short crappie I released from deep water that was floating last week. Came about 40 yrds. from us, on Norfork Lake. We see them a lot around the lakes and rivers up here.
