Armies of "Old Farts" are going to every Walmart and buying every shipment. They don't know why, they just are. The government is actually not buying .22 bullets.

As for Gun Ownership, it is NOT the "Bill of Needs", it is the "Bill of RIGHTS". I have a RIGHT (NOT a privilege) to own anything I want. There should be no restrictions for any honest law-abiding citizen. It doesn't matter if I NEED a high capacity magazine (I do, actually, I shoot poorly at 3 a.m. at multiple perps breaking into my house), that's immaterial. It ain't about what I need, it's about what I have the RIGHT to own. That's the law. If you want to change the 2nd Amendment, work on it......it can be done, many amendments have been deleted. But till then it's the law!!

And don't start me on background checks to "keep guns out of the hands of the criminally insane"........they have more rights than you do. I have direct experience with this, with my late brother in law. He threatened to kill state cops, his sister, went nuts often.......and judge said every time "sorry, can't lock him up, he has rights".

Therefore, not one single proposed law or regulation would have stopped Columbine, Aurora, Newtown, or any of them. Those guys got guns that none of these laws would have stopped. And every one of them would (and still can) easily pass any background mental check.

Currently, there are thousands of folks who 'flunk' current background checks. NOT ONE OF THEM IS EVER ARRESTED. NONE. Veep Biden has even said "We don't have time to do that". Well, then why propose MORE laws.

I hate to say this, and I'll be labeled an idiot......but here is the true, real, answer. THERE IS NO ANSWER. If you want to have a Free Society, then bad things will happen, repeatedly. If you want Safety, then you can't have a Free Society.

The 2nd Amendment was very clearly written to ensure that the everyday Citizen was effectively armed so that he could jump in at a moment's notice (militia) and assist in repelling an enemy, from without or within. Taking away our RIGHT to own sufficient weapons to do so is unconstitutional. Period.

Truth is, violent crime is way down........mass murder is way down, believe it or not.........we are safer than we've ever been. Laws won't stop anybody, but they'll make me less Free. And I worship Freedom above any kind of Safety, and always will. I served with men who died FOR FREEDOM. I never, ever met a guy who died, or was willing to die, for Safety.

Guns? What Guns? As far as Uncle San knows, I have no guns. This is also why I have loaded my own bullets for years (for the guns I don't own!)

Very eloquently put Buckrub. We have to remember that America was born because our forefathers had the cajones to stand up and fight for their freedom. It was not easy, and success probably seemed like an impossibility. But they were not willing to continue to live under such oppression. Those men had a vision, and they had the GUTS to follow through. What the American people need to remember is that, while hunting, collecting, and pleasure shooting are awesome benefits of the 2nd ammendment and are worth protecting, it was created to ensure that the new government never got too big for it's britches. The administration knows this, it's exactly why they want to take it away. As long as we defend our right with protesting and complaining, we will lose!! The second ammendment was created in the event that ACTION is needed. And ACTION is the only way to defend it. The question is, do we still have enough people that are willing to stand up and fight? I don't think so.

Most of us are already well armed! I think every law abiding citizen with no crimminal record or mental defect should be required to own atleast 1 gun and plenty of ammo.

I tell people all of the time,"If you tell me you are anti-gun then I promise not to use my gun to save your life." As far as the criminals go."No Deals and No Parole." If you do the crime you should do the time. As far as gas goes I look at this way. You have to go to work, fishing or Church Ok. Well if you need a loaf of bread get it while you are either going or coming from one of these trips. If you get home and did not get it do not make a special trip. Do not make special trips to go shopping. Ok a trip to the tackle shop or boat shop will be allowed.
After major stores start hollering about low sales and full shelves the gov will see that the price of gas does come down.

I believe in peaceful coexistence. My 1911 helps make that a reality.
