    Default Soare BB AJING

I've been wanting to try a shorter rod for jigging docks and didn't own a rod under 6' so I ordered a 5'8" Soare BB AJING spinning rod. It arrived Thursday and took it out for some testing. Put an older Stradic 1000 on it with some 2# SOS and tied on a 1/48 float n fly on the line. Winds at 10 gusting to 19 with temps in the mid 40's. Headed to a lake close to home that used to have some big crappie but it got fished hard and any big one's had been impossible to find, hadn't caught a 12" crappie there in over a year. Headed for my favorite dock and dropped my jig down and as it was falling something whacked it and I missed the strike. Started swimming the bait and something big smoked the jig. This was one hard fighting fish pulling drag several times before I saw it. Big crappie, finally broke the skunk for this lake. Probably close to 2lbs and right about 15-16 incher. Caught a nice bass a little later, disappointed it wasn't a crappie. Tried another lake stocked with trout and caught two of those with the new rod. Going to do more testing this weekend but think I;m going to like this one.
