You are correct. I have the 1000. The 2000 will take in 25 inches per one turn and the 1000 will take in 21 inches. I prefer the slower reel. Both reels have a 4.9 ratio but the slightly larger spool takes in 4 more inches per crank.

The only difference between the 1000 and 2000 is the spool. There are also spare spools made by Daiwa, they are available at amazon also. Makes it convenient if you want to change to a different kind of line. I have 2 of the reels and 4 of the spools.
