I have 2 of the TCBs very nice rods for the most part. What I don't care for is how long the rear grip is. I've managed to break the tips on both of the rods since got them a year ago. Broke the first on last year by leaving the rod in a rod sock on the deck of the boat going down the highway, wind bent the tip to far, fixed that one with epoxy and a sewing needle I broke the second one by stepping on the top guide a couple weeks ago.

It doesn't seem that the replacement tips are in stock that I could find. I use the rods for my wife and others in the boat. I almost ordered another whole rod, but decided to order a replacement top guide. While looking on mud hole for top guides I found an EVA butt that would fit the blank.

Armed with no knowledge and a cutoff tool I shortened the rear end by 3.25 inches. I like that length much better. Down side is the tip section is now that much longer than the rear section of the rod, have to watch when putting them in the hard tube. Name: 20230824_184136.jpg
