Drag is as good as I could hope for and the reel gives me nothing negative to speak of. It’s my first with a cork handle and the jury is still out on that. I found this one on sale for just over $60 and couldn’t refuse, usually near $90. For the JDM like build its riding I’m very pleased with it. Handle one if you get the chance.
I have no problem with you commenting on other 500 size reels .
I own one of the President XT limited edition 20 size reels . It’s a tiny reel .
I’ll have to get it out and try it again .
The Soare bb I ordered has 4 ball bearings and a roller bearing in the bail . I’ve got a few Shimano Siennas with less bearing ad with a little Lucas reel oil in the right places , they’re as smooth as the more expensive reels .
Wobble is what I’m worried about .
Minimum wobble , especially in the handle and I can live with it .
