MtnFisher, the Ci4+ have large followers in the saltwater community but more so in Australia, surprisingly to me. However not all Shimano reel spools are interchangeable especially different year model, the spool configuration, etc. I took chance with the Ci4+ c2000s base on the fact its a non-long spool in design same as my 2014 Stella FI spool, not to mention I like to have a red color spool in good price. Thank goodness it fits. Cheers!
