Congrats on the new rod, I know you’ll enjoy putting it through its paces. My hope is that you enjoy it and it becomes the one you reach for without thought. I have a few different rods that have a special spot but the most versatile that I have a high fish count on is a Lightning rod in 5’6”. Not expensive but it just does so well.
And when you get antsy about the dollars expended, go on gunbroker.com and look at the browning citori target shotguns I drool over. The current crush is the 725 model in a 32” 410. At just over $3000 it will be a while before it would stand a chance to be mine. And as they go among the different brands, it’s one of the cheaper ones. One of my club brothers let me shoot his Caesar Guerinni in these dimensions and it was sweet and I shot it well. Then he told me he gave over $9000 for it. I thanked him humbly and carefully gave it back before I hurt it. Kinda like high end ultralight shotguns.
