Only had a hour of so to fish the creek this afternoon. First fish was a decent Smallie which I lost a few yards from the bank. A few casts later another good hookup, not jumping and when I first saw fish, thought it could be another Buffalo. The last 2 pics are of a Buffalo that was caught a few days ago for comparison. This fish in question doesn't have those marble like solid black eyes and grey/blue hue of the Buffalo, but did fight like one. Hit same type of bait that the Buffalo did, small plastic on jig head on a pause while slow drifting. Kind of thinking River Carpsucker or Quillback Carpsucker. Would appreciate it if anyone can shed any light on ID of this fish. No barbels and take note of the front of dorsal fin. Finished up with a good Smallie. Well spent time, this creek fishing sure is something else.Name: DSC02996.jpg
