Been here all of 4 days and decided it was time to go fishing. While not the only reason I wanted to move here it was certainly a big one. The Little Red River did not disappoint…..it rarely does. My host took me out and in 3.5 hours we netted 35 trout. My best was at the 15 inch mark. Used several different colors of Trout Magnets to get the job done. It was a slow day really. On each cast would be multiple fish swarming all around but they were reluctant to commit. Watching them in gin clear water is a treat. As the spawning of the browns is about 4 weeks away we saw a couple of big ones already moved close to the shoals…impressive to say the least. I used the FineTail Banshee strung up with the Varivas Twitch Master VLS in 3# test….that line will be needed when the big browns do move in. The jig head was a Daiwa Gekkabijin 1 and 1.5 gram with #10 hook. Life is good!

Regards
