Default Another first at the creek

Things were kind of slow at the creek and had only connected on a few little smallmouths. Slowed down my retrieve drifting plastics and was able to pick up my first ever creek Walleye measuring 15 1/2". Had a Drum hit a Strike King Itsy Bitsy Minnow crankbait but came unhooked as I attempted to beach it without a net. Shortly after that landed a nice Sauger and a decent Smallie to finish up. A good variety for the day.Name: DSC02483.jpg

    Gill,
The lake I fished the other day where it poured was down by the West Virginia border. This creek I fished today near where I live was not affected by that storm. There is a lot of storm water drains that go into this particular creek and when that happens it can take days to clear up. These storms we have been having lately are isolated , it all depends where they cut loose.

Real nice, moon! Great photos of a real nice variety of fish! Watch out for those teeth and gill plates!

PS We have the same problem with our local creek. It works its way thru most of our county and gets a ton of drain water and ag chemicals. So much so the state quit stocking and have a no eat advisory, not that in a million years have I ever considered eating anything out of there!
