Thread: Sunday spot

Only fish this spot on Sundays since parking for access is at the end of a industrial park road and there is not much activity there on Sunday. Almost 90 today, sunny and humid and the 20 minute walk in and out thru brush and woods kind of rough with long sleeves and pants/boots due to ticks. Have not ran into anyone here yet, but have twice seen boot tracks in mud, probably from someone wade fishing. For some reason the geese and ducks favor this stretch and are always there, most likely due to the small gravel island in the middle of the creek. Always see a lot of small freshwater mussel shells on these gravel beds and today found a fairly large one. Boy, there is a lot of info online about these mussels. Almost forgot, three good fish today, here's some pics of them. The last one gave that TFO ultralight rod a real workout.
