Thread: Another UL creek challenge

Action was pretty slow midday at the creek. Water clouded up bad and had only managed one little Smallie in 1 1/2 hours of pitchin different lures. Was contemplating heading out when a good fish hit. Stayed deep and slow runs and my first thought was maybe another Freshwater Drum. Not huge but this 21" Channel Cat put up a real good fight on the UL gear. Lately, seems like always a nice surprise at the creeks.

Ran into a nice teen fishing and he was from Nepal and now living local. Talked for awhile about fishing and he showed me a pic of a nice Channel Cat he had caught on a jig/plastic bait earlier in the day. Fishes this creek alot and told me his goal is catching a long nose Gar in this particular creek. Also included a few pics from walk in and out.
