I would not use the latest JDM UL rods for slip floats. Most of the newer rods..meaning the last couple couple of years or so.....have micro guides with an inner diameter of only 1mm.....bobber stops aren't going well through those. Solid tip rods are designed to work microplastics. Tubular tip rods are better as an all around rod.
