I went and did it.
Last week signed a building contact on a new home in Arkansas. The home will be 1850 square feet with 500 square foot garage and a 700 square foot detached shop. My wife will have space to do her furniture projects and I will have a space to keep all my fishing gear neatly organized. For those that have read my posts you have heard me talk about this. I will be 20 minutes from world class trout fishing on the Little Red and one hour away from world class trout fishing on the White River…..less than a half hour to several good bluegill lakes. This has been a dream of mine for a while and even though I’m 70 I decided to make it happen. I’ll be leaving a town of 165 thousand and moving to a town of 28 thousand. If all goes as planned should be in new home by mid November. I can see more JDM stream trout rods in my future for sure. Will be heading out for a fishing trip end of July and to pick out finishings for the new home. I never thought I would be moving at age 70 but I have to tell you the crowds are starting to really bother me. Where I currently live is great….anything you want is here…but the traffic is way out of hand and the place greets about 50 new residents a day. After much thought my wife and I decided it is best to make the move. Going to be very exciting to pick out everything in the house and watch it being built….then it will be beyond exciting to get moved in and start living, fishing, and exploring Arkansas.
Regards
