I’ve thought…and researched a lot…..about going down that road. A good BFS rod is much less expensive than a JDM spinning rod. BFS rods are not as sensitive as the high end JDM spinning. Which is probably why I have not gone down that road. Of course BFS was never really meant to cast micro soft plastics. Now that I am out on the Little Red I need to rethink about going BFS. I have all the spoons and sinking minnows that that system was really designed for and a BFS setup would sure be better for using those in a trout river than my spinning setups. You may already know of him, but Hobie Wan Kenobi on YouTube has a great channel dedicated to BFS. Will be following this with interest if you choose to go BFS. Keep us posted.
