So, I have been super happy with my suite of JDM rods, but I have recently found a rod application that only comes up fishing bridge columns, walls, and vertical structure - under low bridges. I want a short but oh-so-sensitive rod, in the 1/32 to 1/8 oz vertical jigging rod - for under bridges where I've almost crashed my dang Limber Tip or Real Finesse rod against the beam above. Sometimes a short rod is a good thing. I want a dang fine 5 to 5.5 foot rod. The Yamaga Blanks BluCurrent III 53 was what I wanted, but they are out of production for months; pre-order only. I am looking for something in stock. I recently bought some underwater lights, and want to explore night-fishing. At least I will be away from the daytime zoomies.
Shortest UL rod I have is a Berkley Cherry 5'6" from the 70s, with a nice AG Mitchell 408 on it. I should complain ... not really ... but
I welcome suggestions for a short - but extremely sensitive - vertical jigging rod for panfish. UL of course! :dono
First thing that I thought of was the 5’3” Lunakia. I don’t think anyone here has purchased it though.
