I encourage everyone to buy JDM equipment from Tackle Warehouse. It is sort of a local tackle shop for me. But of course, it is mostly focused on bass fishing and to a lesser degree saltwater. If we buy their JDM ultralight, maybe they will expand that department.

Which rods do you use or plan to use with your Ballistic FW?

That’s all well and good but here is the reason that is not feasible and won’t be for a long time.....if ever. Folks in the USA are not big into UL angling like the rest of the world. The vast majority of Americans will not spend the kind of money JDM gear costs. The Japanese are not concerned with marketing JDM UL gear here as they know it is not worth their time and money. While TW May have some JDM reels I’ve never seen a JDM UL rod there. We have basically two choices for our gear....Chris Stewart at Finesse Fishing....which is a great site by the way.....or Japanese web stores. When I hit the water my JDM rods I have a JDM reel....JDM Line.....JDM jig heads....and sometimes a JDM lure. I would love for US stores to carry all the gear I use but that’s just not gonna happen.

    Regards

I have several JDM sticks and another Ballistic FW LT 1000S-P on a Majorcraft Triple Cross 7.3Aji solid tip rod, mainly used for float fishing live crickets and some cast/retrieve of light jigs. This new reel is going on the other Triple Cross 7.3 Aji tubular tip rod that has become my favorite dock shooting rod. Both reels will have 3lb Yellow JDM braid. A matching set they will be except for the tip action and purpose. I am glad TW picked this reel up from the Daiwa, hopefully it will introduce more fishermen to the JDM line of tackle. Welcome to the boards.
