The theory is you can control your rotation rate much better. The handle is always perfectly balanced and even if the reel is a super low inertia reel such as the Vanquish or the Presso Limited, the double handle will not rotate the reel by its own weight. I have read many blogs by what I call “Master Anglers” that having a double handle reel is a must for finesse fishing. Better control if you will. I ha e watched several anglers use these on YouTube....and they are very popular in Japan. Here is a brief explanation of pros and cons of double handles. Search out and read some blogs on theses....it is quite interesting. By the way....150 bucks is on the cheap side for a double handle.

How to Choose the Most Suitable Spinning Reel Handle (Single / Double)

I spent four great years living in Japan. They like perfection and are always trying to get things that way. While I do not dispute that thier JDM products are superior a lot of it is over done and over thought out. Plus they are the ultimate followers. What I mean is when one has to have something everyone else has to have the same. When I was there I fished some of there fee lakes. It was really not much different than stocked lakes here in the US. Only exception is they like to catch big fish with light gear. Actually I fished fee lakes in CA that was the same way. When I lived there that was the first time I saw the value of fishing with #2 test line (early 90's). Your bait just has so much more action. Getting back to handles it has been a long time since I fished a double handle on a spinning reel. If it stops the spool from Turing on its own that would be great cause I hate a reel that turns on its own. As far and more sensitivity not sure. For me I get all my feel from my rod hand not my reel hand so that would not lean me towards going that direction.
