The Presso came out in 2014. The Presso Limited is a 2017 model.....highly tuned. A fantastic reel if you can find one. I would scratch the regular Presso off the list. Since the Presso Limited is hard to find I would get the Vanquish....latest model. They have a Vanquish FW Tuned but the new Vanquish is a better reel for same price. The new Vanquish came out in 2019 and to tell you the truth is probably the better reel than the Presso Limited if paying full retail price. The Vanquish is about 15 grams lighter than Presso Limited. But if you can find the Presso Limited on sale for around 275-300 dollars I would jump on it.....but doubt one could find them at that price now.

Awesome Randy would you go with the 19 vanquish 1000ssspg or the 19 c2000s?

My personal choice would be the 1000 series due to the low ratio...gotta love the low ratio reels for small plastics. But the 2000C reels are nice......you can use higher pound test....have the ever so slightly bigger spool...yet reel body is that of a 1000 series and the same weight as the 1000. The 2000C is somewhat more versatile. Either way you would have one sweet reel.

Thanks Randy plan on pairing that with the Tenryu

Have now completed all the tuning I plan on doing to my reels. I love the Zaion knobs....changed out the felt drag washers in the FW’s with CarbonTex washers. The reason for the carbon washers more than anything is they will not likely ever wear out....I just have to clean them every so often. The carbon washer I got for the Presso Limited was 2mm too large. The seller asked me to take pic of the reel....get an OD measurement of the OEM drag washer. I have not heard back from him yet but am assuming he is sending me out the correct washer.

My exist’s and day sprout came with that handle and I might upgrade my other reels as well... really comfy grip
Not that I have noticed. I’m sure you know the theory same as me....smoother startup for the drag. I have been using the carbon washers for quite a while. My very first JDM reel saw a lot of use when it was the only one I had. I have never had any maintenance done on that reel as I wanted to see just how long the reel would stay working smoothly.....and also to see just how well MagSeal held up...well it holds up pretty darn good. Eight years down the road and works like it did the day it came out if the box. But back to subject....after a year I took a look at the felt drag washer and it was pretty beat up. So I put the carbon washer in it. Then in all my others reels as I got them. They do not wear out like the felt does. The FW’s and the Presso Limited were the last reels to do. They have held up just like new in the 2015 Luvias....Twin Power and the Ignis.

Shimano's new Vanford was mentioned here before. Apparently, JDM versions down to C2000S will be released in November. The C2000S will weigh 150 g and will probably cost quite a bit less than the Luvias of Chinese origin, given that the current price for Stradic Ci4+ hovers around $200. I mentioned this previously, but with the excellent internals of Stradic FL plus low inertia rotor and the light weight like never before, this will likely be one heck of an ultralight reel. I am in need of two right now and I will wait...
