Is this the same as the US version, or is it a JDM reel?
As far as I could tell, it's the same as the USA version, except the spool. No jdm 1000 sized spool. The jdm version also has red accents on the spool. I have six of the USA 1000 versions, and have just ordered a couple of jdm shallow 2000 spools to use with them.

The Tatula is a good looking reel. Lots Bass guys use the larger versions.

I use mine year round. When open water season is over, they go on my ice rods. In two years of use the only issue I had was the bail on one got sticky. Just cleaned and lubed it, been good since. I did install carbon drag washers and the extra bearings into them this year. The carbon washers seemed to work a little better in the colder weather.

At least you can fish! The local order bans all recreational activities including fishing entirely – I did not know and was kicked out by harbor police. The funny part: I was the only person on a mile-long stretch of rock pilings which a sane person would avoid in fear of breaking their limbs anyway. The officer who brought up social distancing as reason to vacate the bank was met with a look of utter confusion on my face...

Yeah I’m blessed I can still fish. It could get closed any day but who knows. They have closed a lot of ramps but still want you to go outside and fish. But they have forced crowded situations at a lot of the ramps that are still open by closing others. Doesn’t seem logical.

    Regards

No movement on mine. Digitaka don't seem to be bothered: "Just wait". Frustrating...

It's out of Digitaka's control now, it's with Japan Post. They just declared a state of emergency in Japan, with total lockdown in 5 major cities. My guess is nothing will move for a while.

Yours did move though, so that's a good sign.

    Asian Portal's website states:

"Currently, due to the impact of COVID-19, delivery of Japan Post has been delayed, or shipment to some countries has been stop, so we may switch to FedEx for delivery. We apologize for this inconvenience and thank you for your understanding."

I placed an order last night from Asian Portal for a UL bass rod (only 1 left and they go fast) and the order confirmation states:

"Shipping Method:JAPAN POST - Priority Shipping

Delivery by EMS shipping. Available only for delivery to foreign countries."

Fingers crossed here my shipment does not get passed off to FedEx..........
